Trust and Web 2.0

Michael Swaine writes that "[t]rust is always important in business, but it is fundamental to Web 2.0 in a way that it wasn't to earlier Internet businesses. "

I like "The Sociology of Web 2.0" part which makes a compelling argument against a cookie cutter approach to bootstrapping Social Websites.

Incidentally, I'm tempted to experiment with discussions around this topic using Thinkature here. (it looks like a visual wikispace to me). Will need to give out invites for that purpose.
