The Wales Rules for Web 2.0

Tom McNichol, Business 2.0 Magazine senior writer shares Jimmy Wales' prescriptions for tapping Wikipedia users' enthusiasm. My comments are in parentheses.
  1. Be Proactive (It's about sharing a platform for participation)
  2. Be Transparent (What could be a better way to keep your integrity)
  3. Be Frugal (Reminds me of Barack Obama:"Money is not the only answer, but it makes a difference."
  4. Be True to Your Brand (Some things like open source are just non-negotiable)
  5. Be Trusting (Sometimes you got to believe in "spontaneous good behavior")
