Random ruminations of an Evolutionary Technologist (a.k.a. Edublogger) who believes that "It's not what you take but what you leave behind..." Fun part of that could put him in good company with the likes of Benjamin Franklin, Eisenhower, JFK, John Lennon and Steven Spielberg. Longer list is here. Serious part is that he also focusses on Technology, Economics and Society.
I have a friend who did this to his car. It wasn't that hard since cars come with molex plugs. I'm not sure if he used a stepdown regulator. He also cut a hole near the pedals and installed an 8cm fan as an exhaust fan (I forgot what it was for).
Another friend who ripped videos for a friend who went to the trouble of crafting a case for a "china" VCD player (this was years back) and television set. It was installed in a pickup.
One more, another friend installed an extra battery connected to an alternator to power 2.1 speakers. It was connected to his Creative Muvo.
I also got to ride a tricycle with an audio CD player.
Very fascinating. It's like the local version of MTV's "Pimp My Ride". Pinoy's are so good with auto fabrication and interior, it just needs more exposure.
I wonder what happened to the air-conditioned jeepneys.
